Career Summary
Davide Frattini is a former winner of the 2001 “Baby Giro,” the Giro d'Italia for Elites under the age of 26. Born in Varese, Italy, he earned a ride in the 2003 Vuelta a Espana while racing for Alessio. In 2004, Frattini competed full-time in the US for Team Monex winning the overall title at La Vuelta de Bisbee and riding to third place overall in the Tour of the Gila.He was one of the strong men for Colavita/Sutter Home in 2006 and wrapped up the year finishing 19th in the NRC rankings with the most points of any member of the Colavita squad. Part of his success in 2006 came from his return to cyclocross after taking six years off. In the first two weeks of his US cyclocross debut, Frattini scored a win and two second place finish in UCI events.
