| Sponsored by California-based CSC (Computer Sciences Corporation), Team CSC brings one of the world's strongest teams to the 2007 Amgen Tour of California. As the UCI ProTour Team Champions for the last two years, Team CSC continues to dominate the race scene with top cyclists like David Zabriskie (USA), Fabian Cancellara (SUI), Jens Voight (GER), Fränk Schleck (LUX), Bobby Julich (USA), and hot new team member Juan José Haedo (ARG). During the inaugural Amgen Tour, Team CSC won the team classification and had three cyclists finish in the final overall top ten with Zabriskie taking second and Julich taking third overall. Also in 2006, Team CSC had two stage wins during the Tour de France with Carlos Sastre (ESP) finishing fourth and the team second overall during Le Tour. Zabriskie's further secured his role as cycling's top time trialist by winning the USA Time Trial Championships and finishing second in the World's Time Trial Championships where team mate Fabian Cancellara took an impressive Gold Medal. With Zabriskie and Haedo on the team, Team CSC will be looking for time trial and stage wins on the way to taking the overall team classification. |
