Career Summary
As the reigning USA Cycling Time Trial Champion and silver medalist at the 2006 World Time Trial Championships, David Zabriskie is one of cycling's best time trialists and also one of its quirkiest personalities. He became the third American to ever wear the coveted Yellow Jersey of the Tour de France when, in 2005, he won the prologue and held the yellow jersey until his unfortunate crash in the stage 4 team time trial. Just 27-years old, he has won stages in all three grand tours--the Giro d'Italia, the Tour de France and the Vuelta a Espana.He returns to the Amgen Tour of California as a top contender for the overall win after his second place finish in 2006.
