Career Summary
Since joining the Discovery Channel Pro Cycling team in 2005, Tom Danielson has continued to prove himself as one of the sport's hot new talents. In 2006, he won the Tour of Austria, finished second overall in the Tour of Georgia, and sixth overall in the Vuelta a Espana.In 2005, he won the Tour de Georgia, finished 7th overall in the Vuelta a Espana, and 5th in the Tours of Langkawi and Austria. He is also a two-time collegiate national mountain bike champion and holds hill climb records for Mt. Washington and Mt. Evans.
Strong on the climbs and in time trials, Danielson will be looking to improve on his 8th place finish overall in the inaugural Amgen Tour of California.
To assist young cyclists, he has helped create the Fort Lewis College Cycling Scholarship fund and the Tom Danielson Junior Cycling Cup.
