Career Summary
With world-class talent and a passion for his home state of California, Levi Leipheimer brought true excitement to the inaugural Amgen Tour of California.He kicked off the event with a winning prologue performance and made his presence known on theclimbs, eventually winning the KOM competition.A strong time trialist and able climber, Leipheimer is one of the most consistent stage racers in the sport. He has won the Tour of Germany, the Dauphine Libere, finished second in the Tour of Georgia, and third in the Vuelta a Espana. He has also finished the Tour de France in the top ten three times.
A new member of Discovery, Leipheimer will be riding for the overall title at the 2007 Amgen race.
