Career Summary
Ryder Hesjedal has successfully made the transition from being a world-class mountain bike champion to a world-class road rider. With Phonak in 2006, he finished fourth overall in the Tour of Cataluna, while helping teammate Santiago Botero to second overall. In 2005, though he didn’t complete the Giro d’Italia as a member of the Discovery Channel team, Hesjedal did help Paolo Savoldelli win the race.He is a strong climber and time trialist and will be in the battle for the overall 2007 Amgen title.
