Career Summary

Patrick McCarty started his racing career right out of high school riding for the U23 US National Team in Europe. With three years of hard European racing in his legs and some good initial results, he was soon picked up by the then US Postal Service Team.

As a new member of Team Slipstream pb Chipotle, McCarty hopes to translate all his ProTour experience into top results for the team. In 2006, he rode and finished the Giro d’Italia, riding support for José Enrique Gutierrez, who finished second overall.
