Career Summary
With his background as a competitive triathlete and natural talents as a cyclist, Taylor Tolleson has been compared by many to Lance Armstrong. Tolleson is a X-Terra National and World Champion, having won both off-road triathlons in 2004. Unlike Armstrong though, Tolleson came to triathlons as a strong cyclist.He finished second overall in the 2006 Amgen Tour of California’s Best Young Rider classification, losing the title by 10’42” to teammate Tom Peterson. He has a strong finishing sprint and is being groomed to be a top classics racer along the lines of Belgian Tom Boonen.
