Career Summary

Reigning U23 World Road Champion Gerald Ciolek is a top German cycling star at the young age of 20. In 2005, he became the youngest rider to ever win the German National Road Championships, beating out world-class sprinters Erik Zabel and Robert Forster without any help from teammates. That same year he won three stages and the overall points classification at the Tour of Hungary.

In 2006, he had five wins including the U23 World Road Championships, stage 3 of the Tour of Germany, and the Best Young Rider classification at the Niedersachsen-Rundfahrt.
