Career Summary
In his first season racing in the United States, Heath Blackgrove finished 2006 with five top three finishes, including the overall title at the San Dimas stage Race and a stage win the Central Valley Classic.He has won 11 New Zealand national titles including the road time trial in every age category from Junior under 17 to Elite. In 2003, he was a member of the New Zealand Pursuit Team that won Gold at the Sidney World Cup and took 6th in the same event at the World Track Championships. His greatest career achievement was in 2004 when he represented New Zealand at the Athens Olympics.
An all-around cyclist and team player, Blackgrove is strongest on rolling to hilly terrain and in time trials.
