Career Summary
Forced to sit out the first half of 2006 due to illness, former USPro Road Champion Chris Wherry made up for lost time. He finished 2006 with seven victories including a stage win and overall title of the Cascade Classic and two stage wins at the Tour of Utah.2005 was Wherry’s biggest season with his win at the Wachovia USPro Road Championships. That year, he also took the overall title at the 2005 Redlands Classic. He had another stellar year in 2002 that included a victory in the epic 138-mile Saturn Cycling Classic in Colorado.
An all-around rider who enjoys long, hard and highly tactical races, Wherry is unique in that he possesses speed, endurance and climbing strength.
