Career Summary
John Devine, a talented mountain biker turned road racer will ride the first few months of 2007 for the USA Cycling National Development Team and VMG Racing before he joins the Discovery Channel squad in July. Said his soon-to-be director sportif Johan Bruyneel: "He's an unproven talent, but I will allow him time to adapt to racing at the ProTour level and expect him to progress quickly."Just 18-years-old, Devine’s big debut was in 2004 where he beat out all other Americans for a podium finish in the NORBA National short track event, a professional event. Before that, he had several wins on the NORBA Junior National circuit. He currently lives and trains at the USA Cycling house in Belgium.
