Interesting Facts

Fabian's much longed-for dream finally came to fruition in 2007 when he won the German National Championship. “Wearing the champion’s jersey for a whole year makes me feel so proud,” says Fabian. He is usually one of the riders near the front of the peleton during decisive phases of the race, and in his career he has won the green mountains classification jersey at the 2004 Giro d’Italia and worn the polka-dot mountains jersey at the Tour de France. In 2008 he hopes to win one of the Classics and a stage in the Tour de France. Fabian Wegmann has reached a level where he is regularly a favorite for the one-day events.
