Nick Waite grew up in Davis, West Virginia, a hot bed of East Coast mountain biking where his family was involved in many of the sport’s earliest events. After riding in the West Virginia MTB series for Granny Gear, Wait was handpicked by the famed Devo junior development team and went on to become the 2001 Junior National XC Champion and represented the United States at the World Championships in Vail, Colorado.
