Mollema has been a serious rider for a mere three years, but watch for him to climb the ranks in the world of professional cycling. His Tour de l’Avenir victory was one of many impressive accomplishments in 2007 - he also won the final classification of the Circuito Montañes and was the best young rider in the Vuelta a Navarra, the Vuelta a Leon and the Tour de l’Ain. He attracted attention in the Tour de l’Ain when, for the first time, he ascended a mountain whose summit sat above 2000 meters.
