Rodriguez, nicknamed “Fast Freddie” for his sprinting prowess, has won the overall sprint classification at both the 2003 and 2006 Tour de Georgia, so keep your eye on him for some fast finish fun in California. He is racing for a U.S. team for the first time since 1991. The three-time USPRO road race champion and internationally competitive racer was born in Bogota, Columbia, but moved with his family to Los Angeles where his father owned a bicycle shop. Rodriguez established the Fast Freddie Foundation, which brings cycling and fitness to children and schools.
