Gomez came up through Saunier Duval´s youth and reserve teams, making his debut as a pro in 2004 after a great season as a U-23 rider. He has grown as a professional rider over the past three seasons, thus he has been able to take part in the Giro and the Vuelta. He often makes his way into breakaways, and his work for the team leaders is appreciated.
