Interesting Facts

Leipheimer is by far one of the most accomplished American stage racers active today. A strong time trialist and able climber, Leipheimer is one of the most consistent stage racers in the sport. He has won the Tour of Germany, the Amgen Tour of California, the Dauphine Libere, finished second in the Tour of Georgia, and third in the Vuelta a Espana. He has also finished the Tour de France in the top ten three times. A true leader and teammate, Levi helped Contador to victory at the Vuelta a Castilla y Leon, Paris-Nice and Tour de France. His wife, Odessa, is co-director of an animal refuge, 'A Leg Up Rescue', and he has auctioned off several of his prized Tour de France jerseys to support local charities.
