Reining Tour de France Champion Carlos Sastre has consistently shown his stage racing strength for years at both the Tour de France and Vuelta a Espana. This season he aims to win the Tour de France and Giro d'Italia, as well as the World Championships. Being a professional cyclist was truly his first dream, and it has more than come true. Interesting Facts

Brett, who hails from Australia, started cycle racing at the age of 14. He spent four years riding for Ceramica Panaria-Navigare before moving to Team Milram in July 2006, and in he's joined the highly anticipated Cervélo TestTeam. His greatest successes as a road cyclist has been placing 1st in the 2005 Prologue of the Giro d'Italia, and thus wearing the race leader's pink jersey (maglia rosa). He set a time of 1min20sec for the 1150m race against the clock, the shortest prologue in the 88 year history of the event. He's also won a gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens as a member of the team pursuit. He goal for the 2009 season is to be the best lead-out man in the world and win prologues.
