Alejandro Borrajo capped off the 2008 season with a top 10 ranking in the NRC standings and mulitple victories, including the Presbyterian Hospital Invitational Criterium where the world's top sprinters competed for North America's largest prize purse. Among the most talented cyclists in the North American peloton, Alejandro is renowned for his powerful sprint yet demonstrates the strength and endurance for climbing. Alejandro started racing on the track near his hometown of Buenos Aires. He turned to professional road racing in 2003 and in his debut on the American circuit with Rite Aid in 2007. Racing with his younger brother Anibal on the Colavita/Sutter Home Men's Cycling Team under the leadership of their childhood friend, Director Sportif Sebastian Alexandre for a second season, Alejandro is poised for even greater success in North America's most prestigious cycling events.
