Interesting Facts

Entering his fifth season with Colavita/Sutter Home, Davide is integral to the team's continued success. A native of Varese, Italy with a degree in optics, Davide is a second-generation pro cyclist, following in the footsteps of his father, a cycling coach, and two older brothers. Davide established himself on the European circuit with his 2001 win at Italy's ?Baby? Giro d'Italia and later raced with Team Alessio. In road racing's off season, Davide competes cyclo-cross where he has raced for the Italian National Team as a junior, under 23, and at the elite level.
