Interesting Facts

Cavendish, who has won stages in both the Tour de France and Giro d'Italia, has only been a professional road racing cyclist since 2007. He quickly became a prominent sprinter and achieved a highly successful debut season, equaling Alessandro Petacchi's record of eleven wins in a first pro season. He is known for his strong anti-drug stance, as he was one of the first two riders to sign the UCI's new anti-doping charter, introduced just before the 2007 Tour de France. Cavendish also spends time training in Tuscany, Italy. He is motivated, he's a fighter and he loves to win.
