Interesting Facts

Three-time world time trial champion Michael Rogers is a regular contender in big name stage races, and in 2009 he's already posted a strong 6th overall finish at the Tour Down Under. In addition to being an incredibly talented time trialist, Rogers is also a strong climber and has won several smaller stage races including the Tour of Germany, the Route du Sud, and the Tour Down Under. He got his start in cycling as a track racer and has won silver and gold on the track at the Commonwealth Games. It was an extremely emotional time for Michael when he was forced to cut his 2007 Tour de France participation short after a nasty crash, as he had been riding towards the yellow jersey and the general classification.
