Interesting Facts

Aldape is still relatively new to the domestic racing in the United States. He has competed in one of cycling's three ?Grand Tours,? as he started the 2006 Giro d'Italia and completed the first 13 stages. He is the younger brother of former Mexican national road race champion Antonio Aldape, and he turned heads in the 2006 World Road Race Championships in Austria when he figured in a three-man breakaway and finished two seconds behind the winner, Paolo Bettini.
