About

New to the professional peloton in 2011, Team Exergy looks to cement their status as a top domestic contender in 2012 with a stronger schedule and deeper roster. The young squad has a knack for performing well on the hardest days of the US calendar, and has been rewarded with invitations to the USA Pro Cycling Challenge in 2011 and now the Amgen Tour of California in 2012.

Team Exergy is based in Boise, Idaho, but has strong ties to the state of California. They have multiple riders native to the state, spend their winter camps in Ventura, and enlist several sponsors from California as well, including Felt bicycles, Clif Bar & Co. TRP brakes, and Speedplay pedals. Team Exergy is managed by Remi McManus and directed by Tad Hamilton, and succeeds with strong dedication to teamwork and esprit d'corpse.

American favorite "Fast Freddie" Rodriguez captains the crew and will be on the hunt for a big result as well.

The title sponsor, Exergy Development Group, is a multifaceted renewable energy company entrenched in wind, solar, bio-energy, geothermal and hydro power. Their work is focused on increasing efficiencies in the renewable energy industry, and building projects that are socially beneficial, environmentally responsible and enhance economic viability in communities. Thus, developing and owning projects that sustain environments, drive economies and power lives.

Besides striving to build a cleaner world, Exergy is dedicated to the support of all disciplines of cycling, evidenced by their sponsorship of the Team Exergy/twenty12 women's squad, the US Grand Prix of Cyclocross, the US Mt Bike National Championships, the Exergy Boise Twilight Criterium, and the recently announced women's only event, The Exergy Tour.
