About

About: Team SpiderTech powered by C10 is Canada's first and only UCI-registered Professional Continental cycling team. In 2011 the team scored six victories in UCI-registered races and climbed on the podium 30 times. The team is led by Canadian cycling legend, Steve Bauer, who wore the Tour de France yellow jersey for a total of 14 days -- five in 1988 and nine in 1990. Bauer's goal is for the team to race in the Tour de France.

The team is targeting a number of World Tour races this year: The Tour de Suisse, the Grand Prix Cycliste de Quebec and Grand Prix Cycliste de Montreal, as well as other top-tier events including Giro del Trentino, Tour of Turkey, USA Cycling National Championships, the Tour of Utah and the USA Pro Cycling Challenge.

The team's main target for the first half of the season is to reproduce its strong 2011 performances at the Amgen Tour of California.

The team's title sponsor for the 2012 season – and for the third year running -- is SpiderTech Inc. The team is also sponsored by a consortium of Canadian leading companies referred to collectively as C10. Members of this consortium include: Argon18, Blackberry, NRS Brakes and Pinetree Capital.
