Interesting Facts

Oscar Freire has become one of the team's leaders, is known for not being afraid to voice his opinion, and this season he wants nothing more than to add a fourth world title to his resume. Freire has an uncanny ability to get into top shape in record time - His former manager claims that his shape can change completely overnight, and that he has “never seen anything like it." Even though the Spanish sprinter is often plagued by physical problems he always seems to pull off notable performances. In last year's Tour de France he was very close to a stage victory when an injury forced him to quit. Had he been able to stay in the course, the green jersey would have been within reach.
