Paul Martens is a young rider full of endless possibilities. He laid a very good foundation for his cycling career at Skil-Shimano and continues to improve every year. He won the 2001 Jr. National Championship on the track, and the speed he built in his legs to reach that level makes him hard to beat near the finish line. Martens is German, but the team has noticed his complete integration into Dutch society since joining the squad.
