In 2008: Still the youngest professional continental team, Team Slipstream/Chipotle presented by H3O looks to 2008 with the goal of being the best truly American team on the international cycling scene and one of the best teams in the world. In California, look for extremely aggressive riding, the Best Young Rider jersey, stage wins, and, for the first time, a real run at the overall victory from this unique group of young professionals. Joining the already powerful squad this year are former Team CSC riders Dave Zabriskie, who is the reigning US Time Trial Champion, and Christian Vande Velde. Also joining this year are European stand-outs Christopher Sutton, David Millar and Magnus Backstedt, and former Discovery Channel riders Tom Danielson and Trent Lowe. The team, based out of Colorado, is sponsored by Slipstream Sports - a sport management company, Chipotle - a restaurant that serves gourmet burritos and tacos, and H30 is an athlete representation firm. |
