American Christian Vandevelde brings years of European road experience to Slipstream. He was a valuable domestique for two of the Tour de France teams that saw Lance Armstrong to victory, and during the 2006 Tour de France, he rode support for team captains Carlos Sastre and Frank Schleck. The past few years he has also grasped the opportunity to demonstrate his own talents - placing in the top ten overall in both the Tour of California and Tour de Georgia in 2007. Like his father John, who was an Olympic an national track champion, Vandevelde got his start on the track.
