About

Team SpiderTech powered by C10 are Canada's first and only UCI-registered Professional Continental cycling team. Last year, they secured 15 victories in UCI-registered races and 22 podiums. The team is led by the nation's iconic former pro cyclist, Steve Bauer, who wore the Tour de France's yellow jersey for a total of 14 days: for five in 1988 and for nine in 1990. Bauer's goal is to make the squad Canada's first to reach the top ProTeam level.

The team is targeting a number of leading races this year, including the Three Days of West Flanders, the Tour of Turkey, the Tour of Denmark and the two Canadian UCI WorldTour events, September's Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec and Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal.

The team's main target for the first half of the season is to produce strong performances at the Amgen Tour of California.

Title sponsor for the 2011 season is SpiderTech Inc. The team is also sponsored by a consortium of Canadians companies being referred to as C10. Members of this consortium include: Blackberry, NRS Brakes, Pinetree Capital, Planet Energy and Saputo.
