About UnitedHealthcare Presented by Maxxis

UnitedHealthcare are a UCI-registered Professional Continental team owned and operated by the Oakland, California‑based Momentum Sports Group, LLC. The American outfit's title sponsor are one of the world's leading health insurance providers, placing an emphasis on the importance of a healthy lifestyle, including proper nutrition and exercise.

In 2010, the team secured 21 race victories and 138 podiums. This year's goals include securing domestic wins at the Tour of Utah and the Quiznos Pro Challenge. However, their main focus is to support overall contender Rory Sutherland in his bid to win the Amgen Tour of California.

Sutherland finished on the podium on two stages last year as he rode to an impressive 7th place overall. His stand-out performance came on the queen stage up to Big Bear Lake, where he finished second behind Liquigas's Peter Sagan. Taking the overall title at this marquee event is within Sutherland's capability given a supportive team and a dash of good luck. The team backing the Australian should certainly be strong and experienced.

The UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team has consistently been one of the most professionally run organizations in the sport for the past nine years. Stability is the key to the team's success and its strong relationships and multi-year partnerships with industry-leading corporations both inside and outside the sport of cycling have been instrumental to its success both on and off the bike.

UnitedHealthcare is the team's title sponsor, and this year, the team has redesigned their jerseys so they are in sync with the company's new corporate rebrand.
