About UnitedHealthcare Presented by Maxxis

The new UnitedHealthcare Presented by Maxxis team represents the beginning of a new era for an organization that has been racing since 2003. The squad returns seven core riders from the 2009 OUCH team, including two-time NRC Individual Points Champion and VeloNews' 2009 North American Roadie of the Year Rory Sutherland. The team maintains its UCI Continental-registered status, and has been focusing on the domestic calendar.

Other returning standouts include Tim Johnson, Chris Baldwin, Karl Menzies and Andrew Pinfold. The team will be looking to improve on its team classification finish, as well as earn a much sought-after stage win at this year's Amgen Tour of California.

Title sponsor is UnitedHealthcare, the Fortune 21 company with nearly 90,000 employees. It is perhaps the largest American corporate sponsor to enter cycling at the title-sponsor level. Presenting sponsor Maxxis International produces high performance tires. The team is owned by Momentum Sports Group.
