In five brief years, the Amgen Tour of California has emerged as America’s most important and popular cycling event. We are also widely considered to be one of cycling’s most important and prestigious annual stage races. In 2010, the Amgen Tour of California was seen in person by millions of fans along the roadside course, while an excess of 3.5 billion consumer impressions were made worldwide through television, print, radio and internet coverage. I would like to invite your community to be a Host City partner in the 2011 Amgen Tour of California. The race will be held between May 15-22. Bringing the Amgen Tour of California to your community will provide national and international media attention, substantial inbound tourism impact, and will also provide an exceptional platform for your community to showcase the benefits of cycling and a healthy lifestyle.
