The application for media credentials for the 2012 Amgen Tour of California will be available in April.Please note that only working media with confirmed assignments will be credentialed. All applications submitted are only a request until otherwise approved; applications do not guarantee access to the event. Once applications have been received, confirmations will be issued via e-mail.
Attention Freelancers: you must be prepared to submit an assignment letter issued by the news organization you are representing. Only freelancers with valid letters of assignment will be considered for media credentials.
Media credential applications will be reviewed and confirmations will be issued via e-mail at the beginning of May. Media credentials will be distributed at the start line or at the finish line in the press room and CANNOT BE MAILED. Press room locations will be posted on the Amgen Tour of California website in May.
All video footage is to be used exclusively as news coverage. Video footage gathered to be used commercially must be sub-licensed through the race's organizers, AEG. Any video footage used in a commercial way, without prior approval, will be subject to penalties, enforced through legal or arbitration means.
Placement on photo motos is at the discretion of race organizers. Once available, please fill out the additional "photo moto application" to be considered for placement on a moto. Photographers selected to use the race photo motos will be charged a nominal fee of $250 per day.
