L’ETAPE CALIFORNIA 2018
The 2018 edition of L’Etape California will be hosted in the cycling-centric town of Folsom during the weekend of October 27-28. New for 2018, two route distances will be offered: riders can experience the full ride through 90 miles and 7,500+ feet of climbing or the short ride through 60 miles and 4,000+ feet of climbing. Both routes will be fully supported and navigate through the scenic vistas of Folsom and the Sierra Nevada Foothills.

ABOUT L’ETAPE CALIFORNIA BY LE TOUR DE FRANCE
L’Etape California by Le Tour de France was developed to attract goal oriented road cyclists looking to tackle the challenge of rides with significant mileage and climbing. The routes of each series ride are modeled after the original Etape du Tour in France which captures the beautiful mountain scenery of the Alps and Pyrenees. The various locations around the world fulfill participants’ desire for travel and adventure by incorporating the history and culture of the local communities.

L’Etape California by Le Tour de France invites riders to experience the Tour de France in California by designing a challenging ride that visually recreates the atmosphere of riding in the French Alps during the world’s most famous cycling race.
The Etape du Tour Ride Series encourages cyclists around the world to ride like Tour de France legends in over 10 international locations including Korea, China, Costa Rica, Colombia, Australia, Mexico, and Brazil.
The original Etape du Tour ride was established in 1993 and has grown to include over 15,000 annual riders and is the premier mass participation ride in Europe. Though the course changes yearly and the ride is always a goal of passionate Tour de France fans as they get to experience the roads just days before the professional riders.
