Olympians, National Champions to Feature in America’s Premier Cycling Race

ELK GROVE, Calif. (May 16, 2018) – AEG, presenter of the annual Amgen Tour of California Women’s Race empowered with SRAM, today announced rosters for the 2018 professional cycling race that runs May 17-19 in Northern California.

The peloton is stacked with decorated cyclists from around the world, who will compete across 187 miles over three stages in Elk Grove (Thursday), South Lake Tahoe (Friday) and Sacramento (Saturday), with the race finale culminating in the shadow of the California state capitol building as the men’s Amgen Tour of California event also concludes.

Featuring 15 teams of cyclists representing 18 countries, the field of 85 includes 29 accomplished U.S. riders.

Among them are prominent California cyclists including thee-time National Champion and 2016 race champion Megan Guarnier (San Mateo, Calif.) racing with the USA Cycling Team; UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling’s Katie Hall (Oakland, Calif.), who won on the slopes of South Lake Tahoe last year and ended the race in second place, just one second away from the overall win; and Team Sunweb’s Coryn Rivera (Tustin, Calif.) who claimed the third stage on an identical Sacramento circuit course last year.

Other favorites include CANYON//SRAM Racing’s Kasia Niewiadoma (POL), who is stacking up early season results; TWENTY20 Pro Cycling p/b Sho-Air’s phenom

Chloé Dygert (Brownsburg, Ind.), who recently won two stages at the Tour of the Gila;

USA Cycling Team’s sister duo Samantha and Skylar Schneider (West Allis, Wis.); and Wiggle High5’s Annette “Netti” Edmondson (AUS) who won the Santos Women’s Tour Down Under earlier this year.
